"This album is inspired by my visit to Tikal in the Northern Gualtemalan rain forest. Along with a couple of travelers I spent the night on Temple IV (after the customary bribe to the park guides). Not much sleep or physical comfort but a lot of "being." I was helped by the fact that my camera, which I thought had film in it...didn't. More importantly, however, Temple IV reflects my attempt to come to terms with the death of the woman with whom i lived and loved for several years; it is dedicated to Joanna."
